  • the different levels of consciousness and evidence for unconscious processing

     

  • the structure of sleep and the role of dreaming

     

  • the different disorders of sleep to include insomnias, disorders of excessive sleepiness and parasomnias

     

  • the sleep-wake cycle and the effects of sleep deprivation

     

  • the different theories on hypnosis and the importance of suggestibility

     

  • meditation and trance states.
