  • describe some of the physiological changes commonly seen with ageing

     

  • describe some of the changes in cognition associated with normal ageing as well as with more pathological ageing

     

  • name the stages of grief, as described by Kübler-Ross, and understand their relevance to grief

     

  • outline the losses potentially faced by older adults as they age

     

  • reflect on how these changes might influence diagnosis, management and outcomes for your patients.
