Learning outcomes:

 

By the end of the module, we hope that you will be able to:

 

  • list the key theorists in the areas of moral development, social perspective-taking and social competence

     

  • describe the key theories in these areas, including the stages of development

     

  • demonstrate the clinical relevance of these areas and what may happen when development is impaired

     

  • identify in which groups of patients we may expect to find difficulties in these fields

     

  • name the brain regions involved in moral functioning.
